Works Acquired by the Museum of Sonoma County

Two of Carla’s paintings, View of the Hennessey Fire from Carneros and the Conflagration (pictured above) have been acquired by the Museum of Sonoma County. The curator, Dr. Jennifer Bethke sees these paintings as a bridge between the museum’s collection of 19th century California Landscape paintings, which includes the work of Thomas Hill and Maynard Dixon among others, and the collection of artwork and artifacts which reflect on the Sonoma County 2017 Tubbs Fire. More information about these collections and the museum can be found on their website here.
